Marvel failed to sell "UNCANNY" Inhumans and X-fans not only refused to abandon the "Uncanny" name, but actively protested that obvious attempt at mutant/X-Men replacement. If there is still an ongoing called UNCANNY INHUMANS, and UNCANNY AVENGERS for that matter, then it's clear to me that Marvel (management if not editorial) is furthering their efforts to phase out the mutants and X-Men books.
Also, it bothers me that the relaunch of UNCANNY X-MEN with Bunn and Land only lasted one year. Was it just too successful for Marvel? Do they think that if they rename the X-Men books, this will make fans and retailers order more Inhumans books?
But like I said, we still have announcements to come. I'm really hoping there are still X-MEN and UNCANNY X-MEN books next year.
