Best lineup I've seen so far... But it's a stretch with Cyclops. However, having Cyke call the shots with Havok as second in command with a team that seasoned and battle hardened? No X-villain would logically stand a chance. They'd be the team to take on the 'impossible'. I might be ok if we took Emma out though, or at the very least in a non-action oriented possession. She never seemed right to be in middle of action IMO. Despite fan following, she has like zero combat training. She's a teacher/administrator. Not a warrior. I think some ignore that about her. Diamond skin, and being cold and calculated does not make her combat-ready. In the physical realm anyway.

I disagree. Emma has been shown capable to take out Banshee back in the Gen X days, when she lost her telepathy. So if she is able to hold her own against an old Interpol agent, speaks a lot for her. Besides her diamond form was what she mostly used in Bendis' uncanny. She might not be the best hand to hand combat but she can hold her own. Plus she gains super strength in that form.

I'm reaaally hoping we're gonna see Uncanny X-Men relaunch with these characters:
- Emma
- Psylocke
- Havok
- Magik
- Sunfire
- Gambit and
- Bishop

And maaaybe:
(ResurreXed) Cyclops.

I would love that. Although for it to be perfect for my taste I would swap Havok and Bishop with Nortshtar and Archangel.

Despite my clamouring for new characters, I understand the frustration in not getting old favorites used -- but how is Trance any diffferent from Nature Girl or someone entirely new?

Not gonna lie, I am pretty surprised that they didn't stuff Rachel back in limbo as she has been in outside that cw2 tie-in. Though it seems that despite Magneto's request she be on his speed dial she'll miss out on yet another event.

Anyway m, I'm sure those like Psylocke will be appearing in a Weapon X book.

Trance is an actual character with personality. And that personality is spelled H-B-I-C

... Monet, Frenzy, & Banshee, one of whom could surge at any moment, like the former Acolyte seems to have been showing signs of. I eXpected both M & Sean to settle somewhere 'round the middle of the pack, and as strong possibilities for being in the top half of the secondaries (includes everybody but Gambit, Psylocke, Emma, & maybe, in this scenario... Magik, IMO; currently being headed up by Dani & Lorna, in this instance & at this point), BUT... JOANNA CARGILL?!!... I mean, I like her & voted for her myself, but didn't realize--and am VERY glad to see!--that many others have taken notice too, and that her character is deservedly, registering and... resonating, with fans.

Agreed. With the possible exception of Sunspot, being stuck in Avengers books really hasn't done the X-characters any favor.
