That would depend heavily on just how much Native American ancestry he has within his family. People who identify as Native American are either monoracially Native American or mixed race Native American. I think he does count as Mestizo but that's seen as a separate category.

Ya'Wara and Koryak of the Aquaman franchise are two other examples an Indigenous American character that DC could do more with.
I have not keep up with new Aztek story and dc wiki or comicvine has not given me any details on her ethnic background yet but is the new Aztek (Nayeli Constant) latino or native american?

Since Aztek is a part of Mexican culture. I figured she was Latina.

The culturally native americans in mexico are not latino,so that's why i was wondering if the new one was native american this time.

I guess it's complicated then. Mulattos are considered Black but Mestizos are considered their own race? Rather than Native American. Seems the US has a lot of double standards when it comes to race

Native americans or bi-racial native americans (mestizos) who culturally latinos are not ethnically native american anymore.
Mestizo native americans and native americans who are latino culturally are still native american/asian racially but not ethnically/culturally native american anymore.
Anyway Mestizos are racially native american/asian and not a separate race.

So with a new Freedom Fighters series coming up, what are John Trujillo's chances of returning?

The new series is supposed to feature Black Condor, but I don't know if it'll be John Trujillo, the original version or a new iteration entirely... I hope it's John though.
