This is an unacceptable answer, and a really inapt metaphor. He's completely disregarding the mutants who are physically and monetarily unable to pick up and move at a moments notice, and the unpredictability of air currents and weather patterns. His 'solution' for mutants is to try not breathing? The T-cloud and M-pox is not like a peanut allergy it's more like the Flint water crisis. Would he also tell those people that they should just move?
Well shouldn't Storm and Crystal been able to make the air current predictable? I think we just need to get to April and hope for the best.

I think generally the writers have been doing the best they can with this story but it's just it requires too much suspension of disbelief from the audience to buy into this premise.

This Inhumans/X-Men thing has been a mess since day one and needs to end as soon as possible. It's done irreparable harm to both groups and already killed off two of my favorite characters.

No. The cloud just comes, then it goes; it'd be more like dealing with a hurricane.

I think it should be the first time in my life that I read an interview in which absolutely no question was answered properly.

In IVX#0 didn't Beast mention something about saturation and Terrigen mist. Sooooo..... it can't just be avoided right? Plus like others mentioned with unpredictable and changing weather patterns and all that, it's really not practical for mutants or humans for that matterive around based on a cloud.

Why can't Storm blow that crap away or why cant Magik just teleport the whole thing into Limbo or do a spell and rid the world of it.

Basically he's asking everyone to ignore all other parts of the story and continuity some of which he himself created and just "roll with it".

Really? Is that where we're at now? Do you not even have to be competent these days to work for Marvel? And why agree to do X-positions or even publish them if we never get any answers other than wait and see. I don't expect the guy to spoil a story but they won't even talk about stuff that's already done

You do realize people require air to breathe, yes?

Because that would result in the Inhumans attacking the school. They didn't want to declare war on the Inhumans.

So if some people get an advantage out of huricanes, it's ok to endanger lifes of many because of that?

Why surely they want to contain it too so they can control it?

Inhuman apologists defy logic and common sense so don't try to argue with them... They'd defend a genocide based on cultural traditions and I don't discuss with Nazis anyways

The answer to "what did Scott did" is totally unacceptable. At this point, we don't even know what it is, exactly, that everyone believes he did, or why they believe that. It some thing for the general public to believe whatever, but why would that turn young Scotf, Magik, etc against his memory? no way in hell that was the original plan. Nor do I believe Lemire and Soule were on the same page on this.

The peanut butter allergy thing is remarkably tone deaf, and no, that's not "the exact situation". People don't have to flee their homes to try to avoid nuts. There aren't refugee camps treating massive amounts of people dying from peanuts. Peanuts aren't gradually poisoning the world and making it impossible for allergic people to live here. Soule, I've really enjoyed your work, but this was an incredibly stupid comparison.

Bunn hasn't even explained the Magneto thing yet in Uncanny (regarding his powers) and I'm skeptical that he ever will at this point since it looks like it's been dropped (he fought Exodus with no issue for example). No surprise that everyone else is ignoring it too.

The Terrigen clouds are not everywhere. There were two, now there’s just one. Their path is tracked on weather services — once the mutants realize they’re a problem, they’re easily avoidable. As soon as the Inhumans learn what’s happening, they immediately (like right that second) leap to help, moving mutants out of the cloud’s path. The mutants don’t have to touch Terrigen at all, which means the problem is really of a limited scale to them. So, the idea that the Inhumans should destroy their entire (20,000+ years) cultural legacy because mutants have a problem with Terrigen… I think it’s understandable that they would take a wait-and-see approach, and try to find another solution.

To explain another way — there are kids with deadly peanut allergies. We don’t implement a worldwide ban on peanut butter or Snickers. We just make sure those particular kids stay away from peanuts. This is that exact situation. Now, we’ll see what happens in “IvX”…
