More often than I should, probably, but at least it never came out of my ear.

Though while scuba diving, I've never encountered a giant yellow eel nor a pink coral monster.

Let the world go crazy, I just want to read my comics.

I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

It's pedal to the metal action on the way home from work, especially on Fridays when the weekend beckons!

Left school over a romance that ended really, really badly... the first of many poor decisions I made in the 1980s.
You can find a bunch of books I wrote stories for here. The weekly column is here.

Rocked out on stage (sometimes in crazy costumes like these. Halloween concerts are a blast!)

I didn't join the Roller Derby but I used to go roller skating at the local rink. We did play Roller Derby in our basement when we were kids. The only thing was there was just 2 pair of skates to share among us!

My older sisters did go to a Roller Derby school that was run out of the old Chicago Coliseum,** which was demolished a while back. Some of the skaters from the Midwest Pioneers were teachers and my sisters got to skate on the banked track which was used back then.

Also it's a chance to use a Sienkiewicz cover

** edited to add a bit of triva. Googling the Coliseum's history tells me that promoter Leo Seltzer staged the first Roller Derby game there in 1935.

I have not been mobbed at the rock n roll oldies show, but I've been temporarily stuck in a elevator and I have taken a walk on the beach.

Well... Your lives seem to be quite interesting ! I use the subway to go to work - and teach - but both are already taken ! It's gonna be hard to find a good entry...
