I say no. Fox has absolutely no idea how to make a coherent universe. If they make it part of the movies, there would dozens and dozens of errors, they'd also just flat out ignore number of stuff.

So I personally think, it should be in it's own separate universe, like CW Arroverse has nothing to do with DCEU.

Just say Legion's reality warping caused the continuity errors. He does that in the comics.

So where in this convoluted timeline does Charles even father Legion? Movie Charles didn't go on that world trip after Korea. He didn't have adventures with Erik in Israel and save Gabrielle. Charles never fought Shadow King, so why would he use Legion against him?

They've played loose and fast with the canon, and now they want to build canon out of nothing(because they didn't set it up in the 16 years they've had)?!

As cool as the Legion show may or may not be, its going to be very difficult to connect him back to the main X-Men story because they have omitted and changed so much. Which sucks, because Claremont's version is great.

First: the Ganke think ain't cool. I won't defend MCU for that one. Nor do I defend Hank Pym and Janet's treatment.

I will defend IM making Ultron though, because Pym wasn't introduced at that point and if putting Hank Pym in AoA at that point wouldn't make a lot of sense, it'd be like Archangel in Apocalypse, in the name only. Removing is better.

Second: Why should FoX-Men get an excuse? They're doing these things from pretty much the very start, it's 10 times worse than MCU. So yeah, some mistakes of MCU does not excuse FoX-Men for the same mistakes(but way worse). This franchise has been called "Wolverine and Friends" and "The Chuck & Eric Show". There's reason for that. Has MCU ever been called "Iron Man and Friends"?

and what makes is worse is that characters like wolverine, mystique, xavier and magneto come of age and have grown through out the movies . iron man gets more childish and annoying with each movie. it must be the disney factor. disney has to keep iron man child like to appeal to kids.Iron Man is basically MCU peter pan and not in good way.

this is the same mcu that banned a real story line of his substance abuse problem from the comic and just had him make more silly jokes just to a appeal to kids with the mcu movies..

the bottomline is this. x-men is saying goodbye to wolverine, we are ready to move on from wolverine. disney continues to hold on to Iron Man and he gets more childish with each movies. how else can they sell toys to kids or make kids watch their movie without a man child like tony stark.

Movie Charles had a social and sexual life before he got paralyzed. So some woman he had an affair with could still be Legion's mother. Or since X-Men: Apocalypse takes place in the 80s, Moira MacTaggert could be Legion's mother if Charles is able to do the nasty.

So yes now that Disney/Marvel is joint producing tv shows about mutants, we see why the X-Men make a big come back and why the mutants will end up defeating the Inhumans, destroying the cloud and no longer being endangered with the Inhumans leaving earth. Amazing what a change in film/tv rights will do. I'm looking forward to the two next team movies, the one about the Phoenix and the one about the New Mutants, both of which got reconceptualized after X-Men: Apocalypse's mediocre (but still profitable) performance.
