The mainpage has a topic on X-men rip-offs right now, and since I can't comment there without facebook, I'm bringing the discussion here.

Mostly, I just wanted to say that they left off my favorite X-men parody.

If nothing else, it should get props just for it's Gambit stand-in.

That's a good point. A big part of Image's foundation before it splintered off into Wildstorm and Top Cow was pastiches of the X-Men, some more on the nose than others. I always had a soft spot for Velocity from Cyberforce and Caitlin Fairchild from Gen13. Redheads . . .

Man Cyberforce was the most blatant X-Men ripoff I ever read{I still enjoyed the comic though}.

Heatwave = Cyclops/Havok hybrid
Ripclaw = Wolverine
Psyblade = Psylocke
Stryker = Cable
Impact = Colossus

They were even referred to as mutants I think.

I never read the book, but there was a X-Men/Cyberforce book some years back featuring Wolverine, Psylocke, Riplclaw, and Cyblade. I might have to hunt it down one day.
