I've been curious about A Scarlet Witch Lit the Season. The album is all over the place for references.

    R. Kelly's Superman High

is pretty disturbing considering his personal history.

Is it really pop if it's jazz?

    Jonah Hex gets several songs:

"The Ballad of Jonah Hex" by Ian Frazier
"Death of Jonah Hex" by Ghoultown

At least another two songs are about Jonah, even if he is not in the title:

"Westerner" by Judge Rock, which also refers to Bat Lash, Johnny Thunder, Scalphunter and nighthawk
"By the Gun" by Dr Awkward.

Somebody actually called Entombed's Wolverine Blues the best death metal album of the year. Maybe it's true.

Rob Zombie's had Dead City Radio and the New Gods of Supertown and Return of the Phantom Stranger.

And, Sheena of Sheena is a Punk Rocker is Sheena, Queen of the Jungle. Or, at least, that's where they took the name from for the song.

That song/album had nothing to do with the comic Wolverine. The record company put it into the video and album art, since this was during the early 90s comics boom.

REM's "Superman", which is a cover of a 60s song by a band called The Clique.
