Many moons ago, my friends and I used to get together for good old paper, pencil, and dice RPG sessions. Now we are all grown and have families. We still like to play, but gathering at one friend's house to play until all hours of the morning for an entire weekend are no longer feasible. It is a challenge even to get together for a couple hours anymore.

I heard of play-by-email or play-by-post, so I tried recruiting some friends to do that. It lasted for maybe a week or two.

I know many people who don't even do the old school RPG's like D&D, Cthulhu, etc. Now it seems like the only kind of RPG playing that gets done are the MMORPG's like Everquest and all that followed.

So my question is: do any of you either run or play old-fashioned RPG's? Is that medium dead, and the only way to do it is via video games? I hope not, because those aren't the games I want to play or run. Got any resources for me? :-)
