Krypto's Rebirth question !

Hello to all the SuperFans,

Careful, this post contains spoilers for Superman #3

I was reading Superman Rebirth #3 and the new Eradicator is seen patting (maybe) Krypto's back in the Fortress of Solitude.

I was wondering if this was the first time we saw Krypto in the Rebirth context and how did he fit into this Rebirth since he's been here in the New 52 but i'm not really up to date on this canine character.

Yes, this is the first time we see Krypto since the final days of superman storyline. It's a bit weird, since he almost had a wolf appearance in the new 52, but now looks like he did in the past, as a regular dog. But whatever, I don't think it will be explained.

Well, i don't mean to bitch like a grandpa, but its really confusing. We don't even knwo what the eradicator is doing with him, why he is in the Fortress and we don't get any reaction from The Old New Supe neither Lois.

And how is the boy supposed to mourn a dog he doesn't even know? (I guess the answer to this one has roots in the "burnt kitten" storyline from earlier...)

Krypto is treated like a dog there... (how ironical)
