    Did Snyder and Goyer set out to catch Marvel, or did the execs and WB hand down the orders of what they wanted to see and when they wanted to see it in these films? Seems like the latter.

    Maybe. My sympathies if true, because likely the majority of the fanbase wont be blaming the faceless studio execs for this.....

    Look at X-Men Apocalypse, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and the trouble and reluctant production of Deadpool with Fox. Excutives and studio mandates can really sabotage these projects. Marvel's done it too. Giving us Iron Man 2, Thor The Dark World and Age of Ultron. They all have positive rating on RT, sure. But the behind the scenes struggle for the writer and director's visions against the studio mandates are well known by now. Ant-Man as well.
