Saga.
It's not an awful book, but I sometimes find the critical praise and love for this series to be a bit much, especially when it's rather flawed at points (2015 was a bad year for the comic).

Opinions may vary in quality.
My big article on Mariko Tamaki's Hulk & She-Hulk runs, discussing the good, bad, and its creation.
My second big article on She-Hulk, discussing Jason Aaron's focus on her in Avengers #20.
New York Comic Con. Attending now is terrible due to the crowds.

I think letting somethings popularity affect how you enjoy something is illogical and shallow.
With that said, Game of Thrones.
Well, the popularity and growth of the city has increased cost of living fairly significantly. It's no SF/Bay Area, but it's fairly high. With that, a lot of cool places that helped grow it's popularity had to close or relocate, because they couldn't afford the rent. All that being said, there is still a ton of great stuff here. Some of us who have been here 20+ years are sad to see certain things go, but honestly we aren't totally lacking and I guess you can't stop it.
One thing that is laughable/ridiculous is the rise of noise ordinances downtown. All these hotels and condos were built so people could be near the bars/clubs. Well guess what- those bars and clubs are LOUD! That's what was attractive about them! Now clubs get sued for their noise levels and live music that isn't contained wholly inside a building has to end sooner.
My mom thinks I'm cool.
Personally I just like what I like. Sod if its popular or not. I do not see why that should really be added into the mix...
Because often, the popularity changes the thing, or makes it harder to enjoy.
Would you still go to a restaurant you like if the waiting time becomes an hour or more?
I used to go to an annual BBQ festival in town, it became so popular that the prices for food soared and the lines at the various food trucks became very, very long.
Plus there's suddenly a bigger crowd to appeal to. Before the 2005 revival Doctor Who had a small but dedicated fanbase. There are fans who don't like what Doctor Who has become because it's not just made for them anymore. Arrow could also fall under this. The first two seasons were great, but seasons three and four had the writers incorporate more stuff from fans, like Olicity for the Tumblr shippers. Olicity, and Felicity in general is cited as one of the worst things about season 4, including by the showrunner himself.
A bat! That's it! It's an omen.. I'll shall become a bat!
