it is in 20XX ,and captain comet on cover and some other body coming out of his body

I'm not sure what it is exactly that you're looking for here. The only 'Mystery In Space' series published by DC this millennium was an 8 issue run in 2006. One of the covers of that run is the one shown above (#1). And it seems to match your description the best, none of the other issues depict anything like that. Are you sure you're remembering this right?
