So when I got into comics and the Avengers naturally I wanted to read about the Vision and read old back issues of Byrne's run on Avengers: West Coast was my first exposure. At the time I thought was pretty cool.

However time had passed I got into the X-men and when Kurt Busiek started writing Avengers in the 90's with Perez on art it actually rekindled my love for the Vision and the Avengers in general and I began to devour old Avengers back issues with Vision and I realize later that Byrne not only ruined the Vision but also ruined the Scarlet Witch to this day. Brian Michael Bendis took Byrne's stuff and just cranked it to 11 with House of M and the effects of Byrne's run on West Coast Avengers is still being felt on both the Avengers and the X-men's lines. I love Byrne's stuff on the X-men but yeah what he did to Scarlet Witch and Vision can never be forgiven.

I am looking forward to Avengers 2 to see one of my favorite Avengers on screen and I am very pleased with the conept art of his appearance being more like the classic Vision. Like all of you Im hoping the movie will bring Vision's return to the A list.
Byrne really did ruin one of the best comic pairings of all time.

I was hoping Busiek would have stayed on the book to reunite them.

Yep it saddens me as someone who likes John Byrne when he was at his peak. He had a great run on Fantastic Four, his Superman run, and of course his X-men work.

Also Busiek's run had referenced past Avengers continuity so much I had no choice but to research the Avengers stories of the 70's and 80's to get the stuff that was referenced and went over my head. Because of that I became a bigger fan just delving heavily into it. West Coast Avengers/Avengers West Coast I still have an affinity for many of those characters like Hawkeye, Wonder Man, and Scarlet Witch, and especially the Vision.

Well us Vision fans got some hope. Vision is going to be part of the new Uncanny Avengers roster after Axis wraps up. The new Uncanny team will be Vision, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Captain Falcon, Rogue, Doctor Voodoo, and Sabretooth. I actually find the team makeup pretty interesting aside from Sabretooth. I will give this a chance. I see editorial already are making the push for Wanda, Vision, and Pietro with Avengers 2 looming in the horizon.

It looks kind of like his look in the upcoming AOU movie.

This is fully the best news Marvel has offered up in years!!

I thought Uncanny Avengers had an awesome line up, but seriously: Vision, Sam and Wanda, on one team makes me pretty much the happiest guy you could possibly imagine!

I'm actually kind of loving Vision's new look. I like the muted colours, it keeps it from looking garrish. It's a far cry better than what he's sporting in AXIS right now.

I'm still undecided about Vizh's new look. I prefer it to the, IMHO, incredibly bland one he was sporting in Avengers AI. but I still feel it's too much of a departure from the classic. Well, maybe it'll grow on me. He does seem to have a new bad ass personality, though.

    Peace

Remender actually writes him as very sarcastic. I've full loved Vision's offhand wit in Remender's books. It hearkens back to Englehart's Vision (my favorite era).

I've only experienced Remender's Vision in Axis but I like what I've seen so far. I will definitely be checking the new lineup.

As long as he gets some sort of push, I'm fine with it.

I also like Noto's drawings of Marvel characters just hanging out in quieter moments as someone snaps a photo. I love this one with Vision at the beach with Wanda, Hank McCoy, Scott Summers, and Jean Grey. Noto has Hank Pym as the voyeur snapping these shots.

We are on the same page with this. I am also glad Quicksilver & Doctor Drumm is on this team, too.

I miss the yellow on Vision, but I can get used to more green.

I saw this on Tumblr today and it amused more than it should have with Jiminy Vision.
