just flipped through Descender yesterday when I got it and yeah, that book is gorgeous! Also Velvet was great too, dunno why I didn't mention it, it's such a fun ride and begs to be am ovie or tv series.

Not sure what to tell you about year one, I think you have to look at it as something that was never done before. Sorta like Batman begins, which redefined the tone for superhero movies (well, maybe that was the Dark knight just because it was more successful but Batman Begins started it).

Idk what it is, but a lot of the Batman "classics" haven't lived up to their billing for me personally. I try to take era into consideration, like with COIE or DKR. Very "eighties", but thru it all i could see why it is held in such high regard. Not so much with YO (other than the aforementioned consolidation of lore), and for something that finishes in the top 3 of CBRs rankings I expected more is all

Bumping my post for my final 2017 count. Didn't quite make 2016 numbers, but I was able to experience a lot of the MU that I had always wanted to. I started picking up MMWs last year for material that is unlikely for Omni IMO and man I wish I had been able to get in on the ground floor on that format. The age of the material slowed me down, but I think Bronze Age Marvel just might be my favorite. They had enough history for call backs and depth; however, there was still enough new territory to explore and not enough history so as to be oppressive. The Sixth Gun has been awesome as well.

I knew i couldn’t do 1000 issues because of work and life, but instead I wanted to track what I could do.

Ok so this was my first time participating in this challenge. I was personally curious as to how many comics i was reading ever since i took my own personal resolution and challenge in 2015 and 2016 to read more comics instead of just reading and talking about them. Now ironically i personally believe i actually read less then i normally would this year because in February and march and then again in October until now....i went through plenty of personal upheavals that prevented me from reading comics. That being said, not bad at all and heres to a better 2018! Happy New Year everybody! Hopefully we all read more comics this year!!!!

Another year gone. My number is a little lower this year. And I expect 2018 will be smaller as well (unless i read all of those Gundam: origin volumes.)

The main reason this year's number is lower is because i've read so much more Silver Age material. It just takes me longer. I'm up to 1969 and i'm really enjoying this read through. Although i'm skipping all of Daredevil and most of X-Men.

Chew is really great. I love this book. Really like The Punisher by Ennis too. It was kind of a blind buy for me and I don't regret it one bit!

John Wick was a let down for me. I don't like the art and so far the story is so-so. Don't know if i'll continue.

First time I read anything Thanos and liked the issue I read. Will probably continue in trades.
