LOL! Every once in a while, a typo comes along to remind me how much one missing letter can really change a sentence.

really depends on you. I think if you just listing the issues and your list will be reeeeaaallly long, it's better to just update your first post but if you want to post your whole list all the time, it's up to you.

I keep a txt doc with all my current readings and post a review after every 50 or so issues so I always do a new post obviously but that's just how I like it. I think it's more fun though if people write a few lines of what they liked or disliked about their recent readings. I think Mister Mets started to do that last year and I quite enjoy reading these short reviews.

Week Five Reading = 60 issues!

After a solid month of reading outside of my element with New 52 DC (and a solid day reading the rather lengthy Superman: Doomed) my attention span for comics was waning. I wanted to stick with DC reading but read something tonally different from their new stuff, so I took a detour for the last two days to read all of Brubaker and Rucka's Gotham Central. It was good - at points, completely stunning - but has a flabby run in the 20s and I didn't find the end to be satisfying.

I should be able to put my New 52 read to bed in the next two weeks so I can move on to Rebirth and then finally catch up on all of ANAD Marvel in March when it's all on MU.

52 Omnibus (21-52) - It was pretty solid to the end but it had so dips with the art

    Nailbiter #29 - I didn't really like this issue

Thunderbolts #1-12/ Annual #1: It's an excellent dynamic for a series, as bad guys pretend to be heroes, and some get corrupted by the experience of being good. This is the Busiek of Astro City, showing the people affected by superheroes, with some nice art by Bagley. Pity the challenges the heroes face don't tend to be that interesting.

Hulk Grey #1-6: It's an interesting twist on the usual for Loeb and Sale, as they deal with a hero realizing something dark about himself. Sale's take on Grey Hulk is magnificent. This is a very quick read.

    Action Comics #858-863, 866-870:
Excellent reintroduction to the Legion of Superheroes and Brainiac from Johns and Frank, who deliver some A-list challenges to Superman.
    Green Arrow Year One #1-6:

Batman: Europa #1-4: The art's nice, and the forced team-up with Joker is an interesting challenge. It's a solid Batman standalone; one of many.

    Ms. Marvel #12-19:
Well-done superhero series with terrific writing and art style. Kamala faces a major betrayal, and the possible end of the world.

SHIELD #2: Decent Ms. Marvel team-up.

    And some Spider-Man comics...

Spider-Man Team Up #7: I'm reading this part of a larger Thunderbolts read. It's a solid story about a framed superhero where the twist is that the people hunting Spider-Man figure he's been framed, but want to use the opportunity to wipe out an old foe. It fits into the larger plan in Thunderbolts quite well, as they started getting corrupted by good.

Spider-Man #76-80: Some nice art by John Romita Jr, but largely forgettable stories by Mackie that remind me of better comics.

Spider-Man: Blue #1-6: This story has continued to get better every time I read it. Amazing art by Tim Sale, and almost a distillation of what makes Spider-Man work.

Web of Spider-Man #90: Generic "the last few years have been an illusion" story with some opportunities for interesting visuals for Tom Lyle, and a spotlight on one of the figures from Amazing Fantasy #15.

Amazing Spider-Man #348: Solid one-off with Larsen getting to illustrate Sandman and the Avengers, while Peter and Sandman deal with seperate crisis in purpose.

    Plus one graphic novel.

Tetris: The Games People Play) Entertaining and often quite funny take on the philosophy of video games, and the legal fight over the rights to Tetris.

Total So Far: 212 Issues/ 5 Graphic Novels

    Best of the batch
    Sincerely,
    Thomas Mets

I loved the Thunderbolts when it came out and I'm still hoping for a Omnibus collection of the series...one that jumps over issues 76-81.

As for Spider-Man:Blue it was the only "colour" book I enjoyed, beautiful writing and art.

I've been meaning to read this for a few months now, but this positive opinion should push it into my reading list for the week

EDIT: Wow. The art is transfixing and I LOVE a Batman/Joker team-up. I don't seem to like anything by Azzarello, but I could mostly just ignore the words and look at the art
