    Amazing Spider-Man #53 Oct 1967
    "Enter Dr. Octopus."
    Peter and Gwen are off to the Science Expo with Professor Warren to see the "nullifier," but unfortunately Dr. Octopus is there too.

    Only he isn't there to listen to the lecture, he's there to steal it! After putting up a good fight, Spider-Man finally gets the nullifier back, but not before slipping a spider tracer on Doc Ock.

    Doc Ock finds the tracer when he gets back to his lab and decides to set up a trap for Spidey, but come on, Spidey isn't gonna fall for it.

    Aunt May and Anna Watson put an ad in the paper looking for a boarder at their house. And guess who answers the ad? That's right, the one and only Otto Octavius!

    After breaking into Cordco's R&D laboratory and improving his battlesuit, the Stilt-Man surprisingly gets his chance! The web-slinger just happens to be in the neighborhood!

    Will the Stilt-Man remain undefeated against the wall-crawler? Or can Spidey even the score?

    Note: The Stilt-Man previously appeared in Daredevil 186.

    "The Web and the Flame!" Guest-starring the Human Torch.
    The action starts with a bang as the Amazing Spider-Man spies the Human Torch running amok through the heart of Manhattan!

    What has gotten into Johnny Storm? The web-slinger swoops into stop the torch and discovers that the fiery member of the FF is just filming a movie!
    The embarrassed wall-crawler quickly departs, but an observant super-villain nearby begins to formulate a devious plan!
    One thing leads to another and both Spidey and the Torch are invited to shoot a brand new movie in Hollywood!
    But the duo might want to check the identities of the director and producer first!
    After a mishap on the set, the temporary teammates at last find their adversaries and a giant mechanical gorilla!

    Roll the cameras for Spider-Man and the Human Torch vs. Mysterio and the Wizard!

    Cameo appearances by J. Jonah Jameson and actress Elizabeth Taylor.

    Amazing Spider-Man Annual #5 Nov 1968
    First printing and first appearances of Richard Parker and Mary Parker in "The Parents of Peter Parker!"
    While moving an old trunk in his Aunt's house, Peter finds pictures and newspaper clippings of his deceased parents.
    Apparently they were considered traitors by the U.S. government before their deaths in a plane crash in Algeria almost two decades ago.

    After Aunt May provides a few more details, Peter vows to uncover the truth about his parents! To that end the web-slinger links up with the Fantastic Four and flies to North Africa!
    In the middle of the Kasbah, the Amazing Spider-Man finally comes face-to-face with the man who framed his parents: the sinister Red Skull!
    Wow, can the wall-crawler exonerate his parents and change his family legacy forever? Or will the spectacular son meet the same fate as his father...at the hands of the Red Skull?


    A terrific story! Cameo appearances by the Human Torch, Mr. Fantastic, and the Thing. Flashback cameo by Ben Parker.
    Notes: This story features the second Red Skull (aka Albert Malik). He appears many years later in Solo Avengers 6 and Captain America 347.
