I did it. I rewatched the 2005 Extended Cut of Fantastic Four. And honestly, it bummed me out only because I realize the follow-on movie with gas-based Galactus was the next step. Yet they had these actors established appropriately right out of the gate. And there are other scenes in the Extended Cut that make it a fun viewing. Like when Alicia makes a sculpture of Ben, and she adds the traditional comic book eyebrows that are just perfect. It gave me hope they planned on going down this path.

Fox should have resisted listening to its own studio executives in modifying character designs the way they did in 'Rise of the Silver Surfer'. That movie had the potential to be a huge win in capable hands.

The first one was ok. Tim Story isn't really an action director, so that's why the film lacked more punch.

94 is the best. That movie had heart coming outta its ears. And, an excellent Reed and Doom. Purely excellent.

I like the other three, though, except the inanity of the orientalist wedding at the end of the Surfer movie, the worn out stripping down gag with the Invisible Woman, and the odd pacing of the most recent.
Patsy Walker on TV! Patsy Walker in new comics! Patsy Walker in your brain! And Jessica Jones is the new Nancy! (Oh, and read the Comics Cube.)

The first two films are entertaining, despite the horribly miscast Jessica Alba and Julian McMahon, but (IMO) the unreleased Corman really captures the spirit of the comic/characters the best. It just suffers from a terribly low budget. The most recent film, well . . . the less said about that dreadful piece of rancid garbage the better.

I remember hearing how bad the 2005 one was (Aint it Cool news was soooo down on the movie) that i watched the movie with very low expectations.

It was actually that bad. To be honest, I quite enjoyed it for what it was.

The 2015 one was a "broken movie". It was a movie that was so completely distorted by weird editing that I couldn't tell exactly what they were going for.

2005 version here. But it would be generous to say I enjoy watching it.

Its sad that the FF have fallen into such irrelevance, both in the comics and in other media. I think they are too optimistic for modern society to handle.
