There's a bunch of books that are basically about superheroes nowadays, especially if you don't mind dipping into the Young Adult-aimed titles. Those I Am Number Four books were pretty popular, as are the Gone series, Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, and Steelheart. Perhaps a better place to discuss books and find likeminded would be in the designated thread!

The ones I remember are the Wild Cards series edited by George RR Martin and Superfolks.

Depends, On what kinda Superhero story you think this is? or what kinda story you want? See This story is about a Cop and a serial killer facing on another in the same world that has Superheroes. Until another cop fed it up for everyone. The hero of this story is just living in the after match. And the serial killer is doing what serial killers do.

That's a pretty good list. I highly recommend the Ex-Heroes series by Peter Clines - superheroes trying to save humanity (or at least LA) during a zombie apocalypse. 'Nuff said.
