So this came out. Personally I really liked it yet again. Discuss!
(Now i just fear someone on the internet will write an +18 fanfiction about this)

The writing is really solid and the art and layouts have been steller so far. Great comic book storytelling. It's the sort of thing I think is under appreciated these days by some fans.
I also like the covers, they seem like parodies of maybe 60's (?) paperback novels
Am i the only one who thinks this book is too good?..Because i came in with low expectations and I was completely blown away
I don't know man. A young girl in a catsuit being hunted by a mob of mind controlled goons (who's puppet master seems to hate women) and that after saving a girl that was molested sounds like the beginning of some weird fetish porn video if you ask me xD
But I think I'll sleep better when I don't think about that too much.
@ed2962: I agree, the covers look pretty damn fabolous all things considered.

I've enjoyed these two initial issues enough to add this to my pull list.
Age/Bronze, Age/Reptiles, Alex&Ada, Anne Bonnie, Astro City, Bone, Briggs Land, Cerebus, Criminal, Courtney Crumrin, Eleanor & the Egret, Fables, Fatale, Fell, Grass Kings, Green Valley, Goon, Gotham Midnight, Groo, Hellboy, Hillbilly, Incognegro, Jack Staff, JL8, Jonah Hex, Kane, Lazarus, Little Nemo, Lone Wolf, Next Wave, Popeye, Powers, Princess Ugg, Resident Alien, SiP, Squirrel Girl, Stray Bullets, 10G, Thief of Thieves, Tuki, Uncle Scrooge, Usagi, Velvet
I've never read a Hawkeye book before, but I picked this up because I like the art, and I really like Thompsons work on A-Force. Issue #1 really gave me a sense for what kind of person Kate is, and got the story started right away. Issue #2 kept gave me more of that character/story balance that I always crave in my books, so it looks like this is gonna be one of my favorite books coming out of the NOW line-up.
The dude who showed in the alleyway after Kate got down kicking the crap out of the 3 mind controlled dudes seemed really off with his whole "I cant just leave 2 girls alone with a bunch of rapey guys." Weird thing to say when those guys just got their asses handed to them single-handedly by Kate.
I mean sure chances are that he gonna end up being the mind-controller but the whole scene really knocked the pace of the book for me.
This book is SOLID.
Kelly's writing is ON POINT. The art FITS. The coloring is GREAT.
Everything is working. Its weird because sometimes I find myself so content that I don't really have much else to contribute, conversationally speaking.
I'm just really enjoying this. I'm so thrilled its turning out so well.
Same here. I always slightly rolled my eyes when the Kate-centric issues of Fraction's Hawkeye would come around. They were fine but, you know, just weren't necessarily issues I looked forward to. So the idea of a Kate solo wasn't high on my list of must haves. But on a whim I picked up issue #1 and loved it and issue #2 was every bit as good, if not better.
This has immediately become one of my favorite books. It's breezy and funny but yet not fluffy and inconsequential. It's damn good stuff.
For anyone who hasn't checked it out yet, give it a shot!
I have another Marvel Comic I enjoy! What is it about the Hawkeyes? I’ve been reading comics since 1972 and this is the first time I’ve cared about the character. First, Matt Fraction’s series, now Kelly Thompson’s. I’m following many detective-genre comics these days. Dead Inside, Criminal, Fell, Angel City, Stumptown…and I’m glad to add another.

Kate Bishop Hawkeye hopes you all bought (and liked!) her book this week, cause life is stressful, man.

they should have just named her Trickshot (and left Barney deceased, imo).
