Yeah, I for one was pleasantly surprised that they didn't call her Spider-Woman.
I'm not crazy about the codename either, but I'll live with it .
Even if there isn't a currently active Spider-Woman in the RYV universe, which we don't know yet, I could see MJ wanting to avoid a codename that defined her as a woman and could made her look secondary or derivative to Spidey.
And Spinneret's more creative, anyway. Spinnerets are the mechanism by which spiders spin the threads for their webs, and what does a fashion designer work with? Threads!
The spider is always on the hunt.
I'm just wondering... If Mr.Conway will do any flashback stories about MJ being pregnant, or maybe a funny flashback story about Peter in the middle of a through down with some big bad super villain and he gets a phone call from MJ saying the baby's on it's way!
This is my favourite comic series ever
That MJ drawing looks good too
Is this series set in the same world as X-Men 92? Solicit for April says that Annie's getting invited to the Xavier school. And the X-Men have their 90s uniforms!
Not necessarily. X-Men 92 was based on the animated series that debuted in that year, and that animated series used the Jim Lee X-Men designs introduced in the contemporary comics a year earlier. However, I'm guessing those designs were used because they're as iconic to 90s Marvel as Peter and Mary Jane's marriage is and thus correspond with RYV hearkening back to relatively simpler times for the Marvel Universe.
The spider is always on the hunt.
Now I'm really wondering what The Avengers in this universe look like...
And hey, MJ's bun might be gone .
I guess you really dislike that bun.
