I didn't say we needed to keep the eight year future "as is", we can revisit it sometime, but dedicate most of the book to what happened when Annie was a kid.

I preferred the old direction because it meant being allowed to watch Annie grow and learn and have fun watching it happen. Though I much preferred it when Peter acting like a grown man in the original mini-series currently he is not a man at all. Not even going back will repair that damage.
