Half-sister? They're full sisters. Both are the daughters of Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson.

Annie now has a codename: spoilers:
Spiderling. She wanted to be Spider-Girl, but Peter says it's taken, presumably referring to Anya Corazon.
    end of spoilers

How would you vote they do that?
First question: Flashbacks, obviously. Second question: Mayday is a Web Warrior. She can go to the RYV universe the same way Gwen can go to 616.

Can that also be a reference to Spider-Man 2?

How could that be a reference?

    The Doctor Strange joke.

JJJ: What are we calling him?
    secretory: Dr. Octopus.
    JJJ: That's crap.
    secretory: The Squid?
    JJJ: Nah.
    Secretory: Dr. Strange.
JJJ: That's pretty good... BUT IT'S TAKEN!

Annie's codename was actually one of the names that Tony Stark rambled off to Peter in Captain America: Civil War.

Read today's issue. I absolutely love this book. I'd love if Mayday would crossover in this book, that'd be amazing.

Today's issue was really fun. Spiderling is a great name, matching Spinnerette - though I'm curious - who took Spider-Girl?

Art was fantastic, as usual - I'm glad Marvel is giving us a top-talent book, visually. Those underground scenes were really exciting.

If Mayday existed at one time in this universe I have what I feel would be a great role for her. Norman Osborn is still alive he abducted her when she was born and has turned her into a young Spider-Man hating villain as his ultimate revenge. In this way, one could have a whole Cain and Able subplot go on between Annie and Mayday down the line. Plus the anguish of Peter and MJ regarding the fate of their lost eldest daughter would also make for great stories.

Almost certainly Anya Corazon, like in 616. Don't forget, Regent didn't slaughter all the metahumans in this reality, unlike in Secret Wars.

I was wondering if it was actually Mayday from a Spider-Verse like crossover. That would make me happier.

Characters from other universes don't count, or at least, they shouldn't. Spider-Woman doesn't complain that Gwen stole her name: the name wasn't taken on Earth-65.

That definitely would present some interesting storytelling options.

I still think the Spider-Girl comment was meant as a joke.

The Peter and Mary Jane who are Annie's parents aren't the same Peter and Mary Jane who are May's parents.

Yeah, it would be an unusual family tree.
