When did Stegman stop doing covers for RYV?

ASM's Legacy tie-in was in October. And it was higher than RYV's was. Spider-Gwen's Legacy tie-in was also in October, and it scored a bit higher than RYV's too. (Although it seems pretty obvious that Spider-Gwen's freshness has worn off to an extant.)

Don't get me wrong, it's still interesting that RYV's Legacy tie-in scored higher than some other titles, such as Spectacular or the Miles Morales book, but it wasn't the most wanted Spider Legacy tie-in.

Okay, makes sense.

(Spider-Gwen may or may not be loosing its freshness -- all the bits and pieces I've seen scream gimmick, but I'm not a regular reader, to be fair -- but I doubt Marvel is going to pulp the character anytime soon. They're using her in a couple animated projects, so I think they really want this character to stick. Whether that actually happens remains to be seen, of course.)

This is an amazing score for RYV. The fact that an alternate universe title, 13 issues deep, beat all the main books including Amazing’s Legacy tie in AND the PPSSM issue after the Jonah revelation is a huge score.

I just hope the book doesn’t experience a significant drop, I’m worried if #13 was good enough to hold all the new readers

Probably getting rid of the requirement to leech off Peter's powers. Don't forget Civil War didn't happen in RYV, so the Iron Spider suit may never have existed. That's the tech MJ will probably get.
