Just curious if you are implying that because Rogue has been with men, she can't be gay. My feeling is that this doesn't really prove anything. Plenty of gay people have had sex with the opposite sex; it doesn't mean they aren't gay. I guess if you define it as "only ever sleeping with the same sex" I get your point, but from my understanding it's what's in your heart that defines you, not what your body does.

Plenty of gay people have had sex with the opposite sex; it doesn't mean they aren't gay. I'm not arguing that Rogue is gay; I was saying that sleeping with the opposite sex doesn't rule it out. As far as being "in love", that's a subjective state and means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. She could be bi, for instance, or she may have mistaken attraction or friendship for love. Again, it's a fictional character but these 'facts' don't essentially define someone's sexual orientation. It's a lot more complicated than that.

And no, I don't think that Batman or Superman's sexuality could be considered as subjective as Rogue's because A) they've been around for a LOT longer and have a much more exhaustive history from which to draw inferences from and B) neither had the type of upbringing and manipulation forced upon them that Rogue did; my guess is that it's possible Rogue is confused about a great MANY things.

Taken as written, yep, Rogue's probably straight. I'd just add a bit more "maybe" to her than to many other characters.

Rogue has 36 years of history this should be enough. Almost 1000 issues is of course less than Batman but how many issues hero need? 2000?
Rogue and Gambit romance which lasted for 15 years. This is quite long.

I really don't understand why she should be "maybe". Please explain this to me.

Rogue also shouldn't be confused because she had full knowledge about manipulation forced upon her.
She had Mystique in her mind (only Mistique and no one more) for some time.
