Micronauts

I miss the old Marvel series, but never read the Image or Devil's Due series. Were the latter 2 any good? Feel free to post regarding your favorite issues.

Loved the micronauts, the first 28 issues are an excellent read.

I read the Image and Devils Due books and they were passable for the most part. Since they could not use any of the character created by Marvel their was no Rann, Marionette, or Bug. They replaced Rann with an earth man named Ryan Archer. I never liked their versions of Galactic Commander or whatever it was they called their version of Bug who had four arms. It was fun seeing Acroyear, Biotron, and Baron Karza again. Image even did a 3 issue origin mini series for Baron Karza

If you can find them cheap they are worth reading just don't expect them to be as good as the Marvel series. I would say the Image stuff is better than the Devils Due stuff though.

A question about the Image/Devil's Due series. Do they continue with the same (or at least altered) continuity as the Marvel series. I realize there would be a lot of fudging since the Marvel series took place in 616, but are the Baron Karza, Acroyear, Biotron and Microtron that appeared in the newer series the same characters as the Marvel versions? Or is this a complete reboot?

None of Marvel's continuity. It was entirely new, but a similar story.

Only read the marvel series, volume 1 is good, the second not so much.

I liked it. Especially the first several issues.

What did y'all think of Enigma Force?
Did it do a good job of bringing what salvageable Micronauts stuff Marvel could bring back into the Universe-Proper?

And did they explain away things so that the stories featuring the licensed characters could still fit in their past?
Or did they just choose to ignore and leave it fuzzy?

Well I loved the Marvel series . Own 1 to 59 and annuals ( got them right of the rack when I was a teenager ) , also special editions 1 to 5 . The new voyage 1 to 20 . Just recently picked up devil due series 1 to 3 and image series 1 to 11 and Karza 1 to 4 . Just gotta find some time to read ddp and image . On my volume one series just found issue 4 direct to complete newsstand and direct editions . Did it for fun . Oh ya and X-Men and the Micronaut's issue 1 to 4 . I wonder did they ever do any other cross overs or appearances ?

Yeah they made appearances in Cable, Captain Marvel v3, and Bug made it into the Guardians of the Galaxy in the Star lord mini series

Thanks might have to add those to the want list . Bug had to be my favorite character in series .
