I really hope this isn't another street level team with black people on it set in urban America. With powerhouses like Storm and Manifold (who is Aboriginal Aussie, isn't he?), this team had best be global.
[Edit: ...and it's set in Harlem but is also global. We'll see.]

Why is it called Black Panther and the Crew and not just The Crew. It's not like Deadpool and the Mercs for Money where the team is mostly second stringers, here outside of Manifold most of the cast are really well known. BP's not even the most prominent on the cover. Misty is.
Also no, it's not an X-Book even if Storm is in it. Which is good for her as it provides exposure for the X-Men.

as long as they are not trap in Harlem for the whole series I'm fine with it.
i agree, but only if they get her characterization right. if they pull her out of the Xbooks (who have dropped the ball on her in a huge way) and she is shown as indecisive and as lightning lass, it doesn't change the trajectory on where the character is going. So this does have potential to do wonders for her. Time will tell.
time will tell if this series will be very good for her.
Please let some one with Real Comic Book skills write this book. Because this whole Coates doesn't really know how to write action excuse is killing me. Heck i even stop picking up BP due to the dull disrespect. Merely waited on the return of Shuri.
