Not gonna happen.
Putting Scott and Jean back together--in any incarnation--is the last thing Marvel is going to do with those two at this point. Marvel editorial is made up of Bronze Age comics fans who are deeply anti-Jott because of Jean's resurrection and the whole Madelyne Pryor mess in the 80s. To them, Jean should've stayed dead after the Dark Phoenix Saga, period. Putting them back together now would also go against the whole point of going back to teenage versions of the characters: to write versions with no continuity baggage.
Marvel will periodically tease a Tyke/Jeen romance as a lure for long-time fans, but they'll never follow through. Been there, done that.

There are still new places left to go with Jott, but only with the adult versions and only to places that would violate Marvel's editorial policies against superhero marriage, aging the characters beyond their 30s, etc. Scott and Jean are also both currently dead, of course. That said, this is comics so that doesn't have to be an impediment. Marvel just brought back Gwen Stacy. Gwen. Stacy. But I digress...
As a long-time fan, I'd love to read the stories of Scott and Jean finally having Rachel, having to balance family life against superheroics, protecting their family from their enemies, deciding whether or not to try and live normal lives, re-assessing their roles in Xavier's dream, and deciding whether to raise their kids to be like them. Scott Lobdell and Steve Seagle both started down this road in the 90s, but editorial cut them off.

ONLY if it leads to a 616 Rachel. And I think that would be a reason that Bunn would enjoy it, but otherwise it's a terrible idea. All around.
There was a point during the initial Bendis' ANXM run where one of them referred to the other as their best friend, which I liked and wouldn't mind seeing played up. I also think emphasizing the team bond like this and in additional ways could contribute to the idea advanced on such occasions as their fight with Mystique/Sabretooth/Lady Mastermind and the Superior Spidey/Hulk crossover (by Cap and Doc Ock, respectively), that the O5 are evidently legendary in their competence as heroes even in early years. Basically young X-Factor if you will.
Jean was hooking up with Beast a bit then some fellow student at her college in the EXM series. She doesn't seem all that interested in Scott and I don't think Marvel has much interest in having the two be together any time soon if at all. I imagine that they will tease something but it is a safe bet that Jean will get a new love interest in her solo book.
won't it be too reminiscent of Superboy and Wondergirl doing it in the barn if they do have such a scene where they are undressing each other in the dark with their eyes glowing
Poor thread title, really
"COURAGE, DON'T YOU DARE LET ME DOWN"

Ok, i am at the loss. So many people mentioning the thread title. Am i missing something? Whats wrong with the thread title? haha. I'm like trying to look at it and see the problem with it.
I don't see what the point of this would be, repeating the pattern from the past 40 years? Should we expect another blond bombshell to come between them as well?
Honestly though I think they should leave the Jean and Clops thing with the two, now dead, adults... that was their thing. The youngsters should be used to explore new relationships... not like there isn't enough young characters to go around these days.
This seems to be a sentiment among many fans I've talked to. Some may claim that Cyclops/Jean just doesn't have much potential from a storytelling point of view, but I disagree. They've never had a chance to be part of a story where they have a kid, like Rachel, and try to raise her in the midst of all the craziness surrounding the X-men. Given Rachel's popularity, plus the fact that Bunn is a big fan of her, I think this is a story worth telling. There have been a lot of big X-men stories in the past couple decades, but none have really focused on two X-men being parents to a young child. That's a story with some very real appeal. It's not like it's never happened. A big part of the F4 was built around Reed and Sue trying to raise their family together. Now that they're gone, I think there's a void to fill. We've seen with Renew Your Vows that there's a market for that kind of family-centric story. So why not let Cyclops and Jean Grey be part of that story?
Granted, a lot would have to happen. First, the O5 X-men would have to go back to the future. Then, Cyclops and Jean's adult self would have to return. Then, they'd have to have Rachel. That's not a story that can be told in a single arc. However, I still think it's a story worth telling and I hope someone at Marvel, like Cullen Bunn, gets around to telling it.

This
I really don't want cyclops to screw all over Jean grey character, she deserves much better than him.
we all know cyclops sucks in relationships and also sucks the life out of his partners
Cyclops was never the guy between Wolverine and Jean, cause jean never loved wolverine while jean was clearly the love of wolverine's life. It was basically some sexual attraction, nothing serious
