"Civil War" isn't that awesome a film; am I alone in thinking this?

Well aware that it's not a popular opinion, I can't help but look at "Civil War" as a cinematic transition piece. Standalone I think it's one of the MCU's weaker entries. I could really wax verbose on it's failings, but I'll just share an article's link here:

And if you wonder why I'm so harsh, it has a bit to do with the critically poor reception of DC's films. I liked all the films, but I feel as the criticism is overly harsh on DC's film offerings.

I mean... It's kinda hard to really take your points about Civil War that seriously when you just admitted that. At least you're honest about it though.

I think Civil War is a great movie. But some of the flaws are a little obvious, mostly Zemo's plan. Other than that, I think the film is fine

I find this hilarious. Why not just say upfront "Hey, here's a review I wrote." rather than making it sound like "Hey, I have this crazy, unpopular opinion but here's this review that articulates it! Check it out!" *pause* "Uh...oh yeah, I actually wrote that article myself."

Add to that the fact that you admit you're just suffering from butt hurt because you feel people don't give DC movies enough credit and, really, what more is there left to say?

So admitting it makes my points less valid? I'd argue to the contrary. My critical approach as objective and fair; Marvel's missteps are given free passes while DCEU's slightest moment of non-perfection is heralded as the reason why DC's films are all epic fails.

I don't think it would make your point less valid as much as it would imply there is some bias to it. Some people would assume, based on your admission, that your opinion comes from an inferiority complex that's being overcompensated for. Not that I'm saying that's what it is, just what it may be interpreted as. Welcome to the forums though, all opinions welcome.
