Default Miss opportunity with Mint and Pepita

For all of you who don't know Mint was Etta's candy brother. He served in the military and fell in love with a female bullfighter who is Mexican. I mean they just throw the two after Marston. I mean it would be nice to have them be back. I mean Diana is generally more of the character DC has used to speak out about issues. I mean the issue of immigration and racist. I'm not saying have them all the time but at least in a few issues.

    I agree, Ami...a missed opportunity.

Honestly, for my money, Mr. Rucka didn't need to do anything to Etta, but bring her back. He didn't need to make her a serious, lesbian or bisexual badass, because she was already a badass, who was so deliriously funny to read that ..no one would want to take her seriously. Furthermore, if Rucka wanted a gay character in the WW comic, he might have brought Mint Candy back and paired him with a male bullfighter, ..leaving cowgirl co-ed, Etta, straight and comically man-crazy.

Anyway, ..I would love it, if Mint Candy returned to the comic! We don't see ANY African American characters from rural areas - Mint and Etta grew up on a ranch, in Texas - in popular literature or movies. Given that almost all black fictional characters, on television and movies in the US or Great Britain, are brooding or streetwise, urban-dwelling sorts, ..an unassuming black rancher and cowboy would be SO refreshing.
