Probably bad news for some and I feel bad but it's fair.

This is a shame if true, really loving the series so far and the characters. That said, I have suspected it would not last long since it was announced so I have just been enjoying the ride while I can.

Budget reasons/managing a pull list is easier when you have a general idea if something will be around long or not.

Yep. There are a number of series I would normally buy if I wasn't sure they will be goners soon.

That's kind of a self fulfilling prophecy, don't you think?

imo, the book is definitely one of the better renditions of GLA and the art is perfect for it. Shame that, if it gets cancelled, we're never going to get that exploration and development of Doorman that was talked about in the interviews.

It is, but it's their job to sell the comics to us. It's not a new issue and they don't seem to be doing much to try to get us out of that mindset. Personally i'm much more likely to give a series that is announced as a 6 issue/12 issue thing then something that is niche and seems like its at risk of just getting to 6 issues. Knowing a series is planned for a certain length gives me some amount of confidence that the story will be satisfyingly told and won't be forced to awkwardly wrap everything up suddenly in the last issue. Of course that varies from book to book and it's no guarantee one way or the other, but that's how I end up looking at it.

I see what you mean - two of the books that tied into Avengers Standoff, Illuminati and Howling Commandos of SHIELD, only lasted one more issue each after the event. Rushed endings, needless to say.

I can understand that thinking, but personally speaking if I am enjoying a series I will see it out to the end even if it does not look like it will last long.
