    Default Pitch an X-Men mini-series

Simple question, if you could pitch an X-Men mini series to Marvel, what would you offer up?

For me, it feels like there's such an opportunity to tell a story with Cyclops, Wolverine, and Jean Grey all shuffled off into the afterlife.

Perhaps the White Hot Room comes under attack (say the Void, or Celestials, or the new being just created by Chaos and Order, or some cosmic McGuffin) that has Jean bring the souls of Logan and Scott to help out.

The dynamic between the three has always been one of the highlights, and based on everything that happened before they died, there's be so much dramatic grist to go over (imagine Cyclops finding out that it was Jean that reached into his mind, made him choose Emma, and essentially put him on a crash course that led to his killing of Xavier, etc.).

    What would you pitch Marvel?

Okay, I may be breaking your rules, but my pitch is more of an anthology series.

Every 12 issues (or a year) it changes creative team and the central character (or small team). Especially since most of these solos are being canceled after 12 or so issues.

Call it adjectiveless X-Men, and give it a sub-title for each new chapter it focuses on.

A slightly revamped version of the way that X-Men: Legacy worked. Fair enough.

Mini-Series: After the events of Red Skull in Uncanny Avengers, Rogue, Cable, Synapse, Deadpool and whatever the fate of Charles Xavier's mind (possibly transferred to a John/Jane Doe) try to uncover the truth behind the Sky Spears that have possibly mutated the terrigen in the first place.

    X Men mini series ideas

The Reavers old school 1980s Reavers

original Wolverine. a lost tale type mini series. something that involves Wolverine and 1980s Rogue for some serious mission they have to do

Colossus mini series. I dont think there has been a Peter/Colossus limited series done at all decades ago

Havok or at least a Havok and Polaris limited mini series

Xavier. a must have mini limited series. a nice unknown tale of when Xavier was younger and trying to form the X men. But we already know his past such as Lucifer, Juggernaut, Shadow King, etc. But a new limited series with something we never seen before involving Xavier in the past before the X Men

    Gambit and his Cats

Someone needs to steal a magical article to take care of blank problem. But who has the magical article? Blank enemy. We need a team to steal and steal it with charm.

Gambit for his thivery skills, Sage as the eye in the sky, Jubilee as the distraction, Forget Me Not as the scout, Cipher another scout, Wiccan to handle magical aspects, M for the muscle.

Would want Orroro in there somewhere. Just for the Storm, Gambit and Jubilee feel goodz.

    All-New Wolverine and Beast!

It would have the feel of those Wolverine solos where he is in the South solving a non-mutant problem. Only she would be on the trail of somebody abducting children. Her rage at the atrocities of her enemy would blind her to any arguments that maybe slicing her way through Texas is not the best approach to saving these kids. Beast would serve as a foil, haunted by the violence he's seen from her while still deeply committed to saving these kids. They have almost a Holmes/Watson dynamic-- only Wolvie is Holmes, who cuts her way through mystery instead of deducts, and Beast's Watson plays as hapless and ineffective not because he lacks intellect but because the horribleness of the crime renders him out of place -- there is no maniacal supervillain at the end of the line, just mentally sick people. There's no scheme to unfurl, barely a mind on the other end to comprehend.

New X-Men: Dome of Horror (5-part limited series)

After the events of IVX, Wolverine takes her friends (Cipher, Armor, Anole, Gentle, Transonic, Match, and Prodigy) out on a road trip to blow off some steam. But a stop at a small town prompts an unsettling murder. The town then gets surrounded in an unpenetrable dome of an ambiguous material. The townspeople explain that unless they kill off the demon (*turns out later to be a mutant whose lost control of his powers) who's cast the curse on the town, one of their friends will mysteriously die** each night.

**They all survive in the end. The mutant's powers (which is to create domes that can cut off people from the rest of the world) are being harnessed by the town's evil preacher. The "dead bodies" they see are just makeshift bodies created by master puppeteers, with the real bodies being enclosed in domes, preventing the rest of the team from seeing them. The X-Men, from within the dome, teaches the new mutant how to temporarily keep their power under control. After the mutant frees the remaining mutants from the domes and releases the huge dome from around the town; they beat the evil preacher, incapacitate the townspeople, and take the poor mutant to the Xavier's School.

3-5 issue mini. Set after x-men 66 but before giant size/94.
The O5 get an illness(mutant mono or something) and are bedridden in the X mansion.
It's up to Havok,Polaris, Sunfire, Banshee, and mimic to stop evil mutants and find the medicine to treat the O5. But what does Mesmero and Sauron have to do with it? And why are sentinels NOT attacking the sick mutants?

Something stirs within the white room. The crown can no longer sit ideally by. The crown sees the past as clearly as the end of time. Time. Time is broken. The universe weeps. It's young and without a caretaker, a mother. No one understands. There is no yesterday. The throne shatters. The crown falls. Falls.

The gist; the essence of Jean Grey leaves the white room with intension of righting the wrongs in her former world. She seeks to heal the wounds that have festered during her absence. Her first step to regain a physical body leads her to plain of existence formed by pure thought; the astral plane. Using the combined power of every psionic in existence she makes contact with Franklin and Reed Richards. After some convincing, they help her form a new body. Her next step is to snatch a man from the jaws of death and eternity. Cyclops has died. His former contact with the Phoenix Force granted him entry to the White Room but another there blocked and rejected him. Jean has to combat the forces beyond life and death to rescue him from purgatory. If she is successful, they will both be able to return to the world of the living, but if she fails they will both be lost forever between existence and oblivion.

This would be a 5 part mini returning both Jean and Cyclops to life, reconciles them and ultimately leads to them reforming the O5 under the X-Factor name. The mini itself will be very psychedelic and explore planes of reality typically only seen in Doctor Strange or the Ultimates.

Realistically speaking about fictional matters. | Nutcases need not respond. | Stay outta my DMs. | Why does the "House of Ideas" keep duplicating characters?! | If an idea or belief cannot stand up to criticism it's probably... bad.

    The Trial of Scarlet Witch.

This would start with Polaris and Quicksilver basically discussing Decimation, each of them with opposing points of view about the event, especially regarding the responsibility of Wanda, but this would take place after the Axis retcon that unmade their relationship, the heated discussion ends up with them figuring out that Wanda unmade their blood-relations during HoM, so they set up to fix it going to Dr. Strange and Wiccan and after a psychodelic adventure they do it, and that's SW punishment: Magneto is her father again muahahaa.

I think the whole All New X-Men concept, with a clear and satisfying ending, would have been a great mini-series.

I really want to see a Colossus/Magik mini. The Rasputin siblings on a fun, little Russian adventure.
