Shouldn't Luke Cage get a new on-going solo series in the future ?

I'll be really surprised if he doesn't get a solo by the time of the 2nd season of the TV show. If it doesn't happen I can only imagine it's cuz someone "has dibs" on the character but doesn't have time to write it.

It could mean Bendis has dibs on him for Defenders, sort of like he did with New Avengers.

Frankly, IDK about you guys but I'm more interested in Luke with Danny hanging around then just Luke... Nothing against Luke but I think he reads better with someone to play off on...

I prefer & more interested when Luke isn't around Rand ( not a fan) & could do without Jewel aswell.

yet... no solo.

Danny getting one and his show hasn't even dropped.

PM and IF doesn't even have his name on it. He gets "top billing" but no one that saw Netflix really knows hes called power man based off a line or two in the show.

Naustaglia is really the only reason the Power Man name still exists. The sound of Power Man and Iron Fist just brings up a childhood warm and fuzzy feeling for some.

Really though Luke has long out grown it. It's almost like the tiara on that it's somewhat more a running joke than anything else.

Did it really? huh. I would've never guessed, but that's probably because it was probably my least favorite of all the shows. Then again, it may have gotten a broader audience than those other shows. My dad read comics as a kid so I told him about the DD show and Jessica shows and that they were great but said that they changed from the comics too much and weren't what he read, yet ironically he watched the luke cage show and said it was better than anything he saw from DD because it satyed truer to the comics (the real reason is because my dad only likes shows with black casts. haha).

I'm expecting an announcement for one once PM&IF finishes up. That was more Cage's book than anything. Nice to have him and Danny interact again. Feel like we never really got that during New Avengers.

That's interesting. I actually thought overall S1 of DD was better, but the fact that Luke Cage outperformed JJ and DDS1 is really impressive.
