Best Batgirl/Robin duo

I voted for Tim/Cass. I like their dynamic in the older comics I read.

He's still using that, yes. A part of me head cannons that he got the idea after playing a round of Half-life.

I'm really surprised that there wasn't a Batgirl between Babs and Cassandra at the time. Even just for a bit, you would think DC would want to at least capitalize on it.

They didn't really think much of the Batgirl mantle at the time. Babs would have languished in obscurity after TKJ if Ostander/Yale didn't rehabilitate her in Suicide Squad and O'Neill/Dixon didn't reintegrate her into the Bat books afterwards.

But as Batman grew into a franchise than can maintain multiple ongoings and the ever growing Bat Family that was further popularized by shows like TNBA, there was no reason for there to not be a Batgirl. Fans were now starting to run things and they didn't want to undo Babs character development but they were forward thinking enough to make the new Batgirl a young Asian girl.

Of everyone who has donned the Batgirl and Robin masks which pair do you feel would make for the best team if put together? Who do you feel would have the best chemistry? Which pair would have the greatest potential for becoming the most dangerous team?

I wanna hear your thoughts.

Besides, the way the poll appears to have been set up, there wouldn't have been room to pair off Bette with Damian, Dick, Jason, and Tim as separate options.
And was her past as "Bat-Girl" even back in continuity at that point in the comic books?

My vote goes to Steph and Damian. I love their bratty little brother vs bossy big sister dynamic. It's always entertaining and a delight to watch them insult one another, team up begrudgingly, and then bond whether they want to or not. These two really nail a family dynamic. They are my favorite Robin/Batgirl combination because of how antagonistic they are towards one another and it always puts a smile on my face.

Barbara was the first Batgirl without a hyphen, and Bat-Girl (Betty) didn't really make as much of an impact as Barbara did when she (Betty) was originally active (1961-1964).

Her, Bette's impact is later with her distillation into Flamebird.
Whether others/whoever wish to believe it or not, the repurposed Bat-girl

is the counterpart to Nightwing, at least thematically. Nightwing takes his inspiration more from Superman heroics and Krypton type legend

but Bat-girl could be said to, too. We just don't have an elaborate story for it and

Spoiler essentially recreated her to some degree. Bette was seen as a possible Batwoman around the early 2000s in the old Titan Tomorrow storyline and I really wish she could have her story and importance reinstated.

Did Cass and Steph ever team up? That seems like a fun idea, but I'm woefully under-versed in that era of Bat comics.
