F@#$ yes. He wouldn't let Batman fail. It'd be his Ultimate movie. No one director understands Batman like that man does.

Much flack and mockery as that scene got, I always found this Kevin Smith "bat-gem" from that series predecessor a lot worse.

No, I want the guy who directed LEGO Batman. Seriously. A lighthearted and fast movie full of Eastereggs would be what I want. Or make it realistic and then get David Fincher.

I'm calling it - This movie is going to be garbage. I hope it's not, but I don't have any faith.

I saw somewhere online last night that said he was writing/producing and starring, but looking for a "partner" to direct....so I'm guessing they want a director who will be open to suggestions from Ben?

Maybe he wants someone else to come on as his proxy, so he can direct behind the scenes and they can take all the flack haha.

I have to say this wasn't all that unexpected though. It's pretty clear everyone's made this a hard process for him to enjoy.

Who should direct a Batman movie? Clint Eastwood. Besides being considered one of the best directors in history, he has never shied away from mixing action with tough questions about vigilantism and violence (and, indeed, Snyder's Batman was basically a copy of a copy of Dirty Harry [one of the stated inspirations for Millar's TDKR]).

    Will he ever do it?

    Nope.

"Taking this project very seriously" would imply they know what they're doing and have even a slight inkling of a vision.

I thought LIVE BY NIGHT was utterly fantastic. ARGO and THE TOWN were both great films too. I trust Ben Affleck, but it doesn't seem like he's in the driver's seat as much as I thought he'd be.

You rate LBN above TOWN? Hm, need to see it. Huge TOWN fan, though.

I have this feeling that Batfleck wanted to direct an awesome movie with Batman in it but WB probably would forcefeed things like "You have to introduce character x at the end"
