It's been years since I visited the BenBo (short for Bendis Boards, someone there taught me that =p)
If they do shut it down, I won't be able to visit again anytime

I don't recall Jonah or the overall mods expressing such a thing. They didn't want to CHANGE your name to anything but your real one, but I've never seen a preference mentioned. It's, in fact, old tradition from the beginning to use a handle. Certainly there were a lot of posters that preferred it, but just as many that didn't.

I saw that rule once when I decided to change my name, I think it was in that thread.

The way the old name change system was set up was to encourage the use of real names. Then we loosened it up to one gratuitous name change before it was your real name or bust.

'Dox and I were talking about the old name change system before the forum reboot. The new system is explained in the CBR Community Standards & Rules announcement and in the first post of the Name Change Request thread, which is that there's no limit to how many times users can change their names, but we won't do it more than once a year. In your case we asked you to change your name, so we don't have to count that one should you decide you want to change it again.

Never would imagine Bendis would suddenly close his forums that quick. I wonder what made him do that ? Also what does it mean for the creators who moved there ? I know YABS moved there a couple years ago.

it does kind of go to show that the CBR rules in place..are effective. I've been banned but never felt like it was out of line. I need to learn to walk away from certain arguments...but still, for what went down in Bendis..it does prove Jonah right.

Saw the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus at Best Buy today. I have to say it's looks pretty darn cool, and there were no insane lines like at the Apple Store, I could've bought one at BB and been out the door in nothing flat. I don't know if I'm going to upgrade mine (I have a 4S), but I'll keep that in mind for future consideration.

we went and saw "the Maze Runner" today. I'm not familiar with the book, but I enjoyed the film a lot.

EXCELLENT casting of a very young group of actors, who actually could carry the film without many adults!

One of the guys I met at the nerd club recommended that one. I'll give it a look next weekend.
