Starting a brand new thread asking on the Classic forum if this was the Classics forum was a needless thread, which is why a mod deleted it.

But its no longer fun anymore.

If anyone doesn't like to post here anymore, then they shouldn't. But I suggest rather than talking about how this cannot work, you just try posting like you would in any other chat thread. You'll be surprised at how not different it is.

Also. Sorta-uncomfortable-anti-integration vibes going around. It's funny, in a "Don't put us in the same car with them" kind of way.

You know what the issue is, the Chat Thread exists in this part of the forum only, if it was stickied at the top of every sub-forum, it wouldn't be such a mental distinction.

For me at least, but I might be alone in thinking that way.

I understand that concern exactly, and if we could do that (stick in on every forum), we'd gladly do that. But we can't, and if there's going to be a generic place for a chat thread, it's gotta be the general forum, ya know?

But that thinking is why it is specifically a new thread and not just making everyone use the Comm Board's established chat thread.

if folks really *can't* get along?. . i'm sure it will resolve itself one way or the other.

It is not really about it getting along.

Partly it is about it being too much. It is like having a huge party. Not everybody is in the same conversation, that would just be too chaotic and too noisy. So they usually break off into small groups having different conversations. Only that is not allowed here.

It also cuts down on the variety of conversations. If somebody wants to start a general silliness thread, well, you can't anymore. And with them being stricter about not going off topic in other threads...just seem really boring to me.

I think he wants us to vote on whether we should let magma fly into the air and burn us, or crawl on the ground and burn us.

Or maybe . . . isn't there an X-Men character called Magma. (Probably, if it's a natural phenomenon, there's probably a mutant named after it. There's a mutant called Light Drizzle, isn't there.)

I've heard some of you folks from the other boards are kinda weird like that.

Joedocwife, you are an awesome person that I am thrilled to have met through Joedoc and Rita's. In fact, Rita's is awesome. This is going to be a bit scary because there will be a lot of new people who don't know us. That being said, there are other awesome people who were in the other chat threads who feel the same way, that are going to be really cool to get to know. Let's give it a chance, and if it doesn't work, we will figure out something else.

Afterall, SuperE already has fans here, so our new friends clearly have good taste.
