Temps here today will be no better than 21 with wind chills that will make things feel in single digits, but I'm going to the multiplex to see Deadpool!

I did not expect Deadpool to be a critical success, I thought for sure it would tank, it surprised me because:
The character is basically a stupid parody these days.
    February release.

I really like Reynolds. Have ever since "Two Guys, A Girl And A Pizza Place". He does tend to take the same kind of part all the time though (or they make the part that way after he gets it), but he does that snarky guy so well. That said, him being there doesn't mean a good movie, it just means I'll probably enjoy his wise-crackery. He's been in plenty of dogs.

Can anybody recommend some witch related movies, books or comics. Stuff I don't like is Wytches (SSnyder) or Charmed. I started enjoying the witches through Hellboy comics or movies like The Craft (1996) and Warlock (1989). Black Magick (Rucka/Image) is a good read imo. Season of the witch should be 12 months a year

I think he's alright too. First film of his I liked was Van Wilder.

I'm reminded of how I felt the same way about Chris Evans. Does a great snarky guy, but that's all I'd seen him play. Then he got a shot at a different type of part (Cap) and hit it out of the park.

I've only ever seen him play Johnny Storm and Steve Rogers. I agree that when I heard he got the part of Steve Rogers, I was somewhat sceptical due to the Johnny Storm role but he's hit out of the park IMO.

Whenever I look at MJ in that avatar of yours John, I wonder what's wrong with her nose.

LOL I know, but the avatars that CBR has for MJ aren't very good anyway IMO.

Thanks for the offer but it's not that big a deal as I change avatars on a regular basis anyway. If you really want to do it however than I've always liked the one where she kinda does a Superman thing where she reveals a Spidey costume underneath her shirt LOL.

Amazing Spider-Man Annual 19 cover, the introduction of Alistaire Smythe.

How much of it do you like?
