Well, the only thing I have to compare it to is Rita's, the old Comm Board chat thread pre-Flashpoint. (We called the last board wipe Zero Hour, so I'm going with it.)

The thread would be closed and a new one started after 5,000 posts and that would generally take us about a month, a month and a half to reach. This new chat thread is already halfway there after four days.

So I just saw the most random "Crime Alert" yet from my university. Usually it's just people stealing stuff and mugging, but this was new.

"In this incident, the victims University students, reported that while walking on Hamilton Street that they were approached by an unknown individual who verbally threatened to fight with them and then punched and kicked them. The victims sustained
non-life threatening injuries.

The perpetrator of this incident is described as a white female, late teens to early twenties, 5'9" to 5'11" in height, with a piercing in her left eyebrow and upper lip. She was further described as wearing blue jeans and a white tank top."

It's totally hilarious how Dan Slott addresses this in Superior Spider-Man. Doc Ock takes over Peter's body then examines his life and it like **** this. In his few months as Peter Parker he gets him an awesome new girlfriend, a doctorate and his own scientific research company and now Peter is back in his own life finding that Octavius has left Spider-Man a big mess to deal with but actually kind of made his life as Peter Parker better. It'll be interesting to see how that plays out. The girlfriend thing's gonna be awkward.

See now that makes sense to me.

Apparently they unknowingly wandered into a fighting game/beat'em up.
