    Yeah, just starting reading it and its a blast. I started to mention it to the missus and said..

    "You know we could try doing this once" "NO!!!!!"

    That's only part of the haul. I got a tetrabyte hard drive, a docking station for the Xbox controllers and this came last week.

    This was the blurb from Amazon.

    For the first time, an ‘in universe’ history of Star Trek, complete with excerpts from Starfleet records and intergalactic intelligence, including James T. Kirk’s official biography and newly translated Klingon reports.

    Star Trek Federation: The First 150 Years celebrates the 150th anniversary of the founding of the United Federation of Planets.

    This unprecedented illustrated volume chronicles the pivotal era leading up to Humankind's First Contact with Vulcan in 2063, the Romulan War in 2156, the creation of the Federation in 2161, and the first 150 years of the intergalactic democracy up until the year 2311. Meticulously researched, this account covers a multitude of alien species, decisive battles, and the technology that made the Age of Exploration possible. It includes field sketches, illustrations, and reproductions of historic pieces of art from across the Galaxy, along with over fifty excerpts from key Federation documents and correspondence, Starfleet records, and intergalactic intelligence.

    Enh. I gave up on single issues a long time ago, and I'm much happier for the experience.
    The only thing I get in singles these days is small indie titles when they come out.

    Yes, but it's your adorable nerdiness, superior intelligence, and although not on display in that post, your face smacking sass, that makes me want to be your personal lavender wishwasher forever. Therefore, to me, your nerd and my sad lollipop love is always linked.

    I wish we could both be unicorns.

    Centaurs never had it that good. At best they get Old spice commercials and stunt roles in Chronicles of Narnia movies.

    I think so too. Everything Gary Gianni is genius to me. Especially eversince meeting him once at a Dutch comics festival. That guy is like the perfect blend of Kato's shadow, Jules Verne and someone really really nice.

    I think I didn't quite play the list thing correctly 'though, if 'what are you reading?' actually means 'what are you picking up this week'?

    I order per month from mostly my LCS and collect whenever I can.
    I keep up with:
    - anything Mignola both as Hellboy(-related) & Baltimore wise (among which an IDW Hellboy Artist Edition is upcoming);
    - anything Mark Schultz;
    - anything Gary Gianni;
    plus occasionally I look for Moebius/Charles Burns/Jorge Zaffino both as old newly reprinted stuff by Bernie Krigstein/Lou Fine/Wally Wood/Alex Toth or some such.
    Hard to get 'though.
    Something recent I might be ordering would be Head Lopper 1 and 2 by Andrew Maclean.

    SLINT / Mike Mignola / Walt Whitman / Arthur Lourié / Dr. Pepper

    So nice to see someone else getting Suicide Risk. I think that and Astro City are the two best books out right now.

    How is that? I keep meaning to pick it up, but I just never seem to get around to it, or remember that it exists.
