A flame-controlling heroine who's signature battle-cry is "Hot-lanta!" called Miss Scarlett, and her sidekick, a dapper martial artist called The Red Butler.
Play them like a kind of old-world Southern version of the John Steed/Emma Peel Avengers.

That would make their archenemies wicked pyrokinetic criminal mastermind General Sherman Burns and his evil army of henchmen, the Bluebelly Brigade, known for their battle cry, "The South will fall again!"

That was pretty much my initial thought, but once I got the Avengers riff in my head, it all went sideways.

I'm grumpy in the morning before my pot of coffee.

I just had a terrible thought, in one month all the kiddies will be out of school for the summer & there are all those comic book movies coming out...just as things settle down on CBR anno unus a wave of bored teenagers will descend.

They could be fun teenagers...

Small snippet of phone conversation of a few minutes ago:

Me: "It's just that time of year. My sinuses are not being co-operative."

My sister: "I keep telling you, get some local honey, it's help with your pollen tolerance."

Me: "And I keep telling YOU that I live in the city about 20 miles from the nearest beehive."

Sometimes I wonder if anything I say is retained...

Out of my list.. I gotta say suicide risk and loki are probably the two best books out right now. Runner up would be she-hulk and magneto.

I kinda feel like The Unwritten has gone on a bit too long, but we're in the home stretch so I'll stick with it until the end. Carey's quite consistently good though, isn't he?
