    What have I always believed?
    That, on the whole, and by and large, if a man lived properly, not according to what any priests said, but according to what seemed decent and honest inside, then it would, in the end, more or less, turn out all right.

    So I just learned that a month ago Akira Toriyama finally created Goku's mom....


    I feel like everything I know is a lie now....

    I found out something cool on Facebook yesterday. One of my classmates at the Coast Guard Academy was the first woman to attend Aviation Technicians school (she was enlisted before being enrolled at the academy). I sometimes forget how close my generation is to the women's movement and how many of the women I know were breaking new ground.

    What was the story again behind the lady Saiyan who was in Bardock's squad?

    The most exciting thing they could do next in Dragon Ball, would be to introduce a female Saiyan who attains AT LEAST Super Saiyan 1 level. It's weird that they're letting all the boys in on that action, but they couldn't do the same for Bulla or Pan. Especially Pan!!

    They made 2 short specials about him, 'Bardock, Father of Goku', and 'The Episode of Bardock'. Of course, he's probably most famous for his defiant -if futile- attempt at opposing Frieza when the latter is destroying Planet Vegeta. And he's famous for his cool red headband and cross-shaped battle scar.

    I saw the older brother arc, and nothing else about Goku's history before Bulma meeting him
