I hear ya. Today is going to be a snorefest here at work. One of the programs I use to invoice and check payment is being upgraded so I'm doing jack squat here at work. Most likely the office will wrap up at noon-ish and we'll head home.

    that's nice.

Luckily, I AM home. . . I work from home 4 days a week. (I have my laptop open for work, and logged into CBR on my home desktop personal system).

so I can play and work at the same time.

tho I'm about to turn on the View to watch Barbara's last day

    Boom!

    Got the job.

Just need to wait on the offer, and then I can get out of this bullshit 60 hour week that I'm pulling at the moment.

That, on the whole, and by and large, if a man lived properly, not according to what any priests said, but according to what seemed decent and honest inside, then it would, in the end, more or less, turn out all right.

tho the guy playing Lou Reed was dead on -- as were the folks doing the Talking Heads.

(hence your "Life During Wartime" post triggering this thought. . .LOL
I watched it last night. Yeah, the cast was uneven.

the guys playing The Police looked like they were twelve.

    AND they got it wrong.

the Police were already a known qty when they came to the States.

and CBGB already had the reputation. . they specifically asked to play their first show there. . . they did NOT have to audition for Hilly.

(at least not according to what I've read about it)

Well I only have to do it twice a week, but I've got so many meetings in the diary, I'm rarely in Birmingham. This job won't have anywhere near that level of travel required, nor will it have all the hassles. For once I'll be on the side of the people who gives the hassle to the guy who gets my job.

    Congrats, Hod! Well done!

BTW, what was the "very good question" you asked in the interview? Rather, was it specific to that job, or could a variation of it be applicable universally?
