    So... yeah? sort of?

He was ridiculously good in Red Cliff, but who CAN'T you say that about?

After that movie, I hit every Chinese historical epic Netflix had.

YOu link to them from else where (at least on the Comm board).

They disabled putting videos in posts (again, I think only on the comm board because this is the only place chat is allowed).

Ah? Well to be fair I kinda only read the manga. And then only up to the point where my local library quit carrying them.

    those complaining about that?

have never seen a Godzilla film.

Gfilms typically don't have a lot of the Big Guy. . . tons of set up, with one or two show stopper battles.

This film has more Godzilla in it than several of the most recent Toho films in the series

actually the human characters (for the most part) are terribly underwritten. . . seriously, why is Ashley Olsen even IN this film?

    but still a solid B film. . . recommended.

Well yeah but they're usually setting up some OTHER big monster for him to fight.

This film has more Godzilla in it than several of the most recent Toho films in the series
Well THAT should correct the critics.

Well, this movie has that in spades. You spend a lot more time with the antagonist monsters than while Godzilla himself.

Just remember my recommendation if you ever have a chance to watch 2.0!

Have you watch any of the anime series or the Rebuild movies?

Good that you are having fun! Would you highly recommed Madoka Magica? It is so gloomy here:

But I still went out shopping. That is the nice thing about having a car!

I actually liked that they went with the Jaws route for Godzilla. It made the climax all the more cathartic.

Have you seen KISS in concert, bert? I saw them a few years ago and it was a blast.

Dunno. Haven't seen it yet. I'll be seeing it on Tuesday, but the first film is pretty much like that. There's a TON of build-up and it's ages before you see more than brief glimpses of the monster itself either in deep shadow or through clouds of smoke.
It really builds it up so that, by the time you get the Big Full Shot Reveal, it's like DAMN! Godzilla Mother[hugger]!

I do love me a good Chinese historical epic, and I'm a sucker for anything 'Three Kingdoms' related.
I got into the HK stuff (pretty much with everyone else) in the Early 90's with Tsui Hark and John Woo's stuff (not to mention seeing Jackie Chan's 'Police Story' at a local film festival) and I've been hooked ever since.
