I guess that's because it's easier on the days they know they'll be packed to only have to cook one or two meal types.

    that's majority of it.

the other part is that the restaurants typically get folks in for those "Holidays" that don't typically come in.

so it's a chance for them to "show off" a bit their signature food, in smaller portion sizes (ie: cheaper), which typically will influence at least SOME of the customers to come back and try something on a non-special night.

I really like aquarium; a bit pricy but the monies goes toward the aquarium, the conservation of the wildlife and the city. And watching fish is very calming.
Also it was Long Beach Pride this past weekend...so it was kinda funny seeing couple and DQs parading around while families with little rugrat s**ts running around.

Patton Oswalts bit about Robert Evans is fantastic, even better if you're actually familiar with Robert Evans because it seeems accurate

No! You're ruining it for me!!!

Also, don't underestimate the innuendo in pre-'60s pop culture. There's a lot of stuff they weren't allowed to say, which they still managed to convey to the audience with a lot of code language, and winking and nudging.

So, I spent my train rides today rewatching Chaplin (which is a hugely underrated film in its own right) and got to thinking, what's everyone's opinion on the man?

Personally, whilst I appreciate the skill he showed in filmmaking and the debt that filmgoers owe to him for making the medium the popular art form it is, I don't actually enjoy his movies very much, and personally prefer The Marx Brothers.

    Thoughts?

So, I'm watching a bunch of Gokaiger and I love the show, but after episode 48, I have to ask.
    spoilers:

How in the heck did Marvelous beat Basco? This is the guy who strolled through the team despite them using three sets of teams, loled at and threw back the Gokaiger's finishers and was pretty much untouchable. It just seems kinda odd that Marvy could win that fight on his own.
