This coming Friday I have my first echo checkup since the operation.
There is only a small chance my cancer might return but still first milestone since the operation.
    Wish me luck.

In the meantime I'm working on a children's 3d animation series.
Learning new modeling techniques to put together assets.
    Good fun.

I'd rather work really hard at an interesting one.

unfortunately, in my job?. . I work really hard at a boring one. But that's why it's a "job" and not a "hobby". . . they have to pay me to come do it.

(but hey, I'm good at it, and I just got a raise. . so there's that).

Agreed. I work in an interesting medium but as a staff accountant, which is rather dull.
But I work my effing behind off as I'm in charge of 7 theaters

BTW, hey Bert...what's the haps, babycakes?

so having a discussion on FB about dress - as in how men dress and the new movement towards being more dapper

I am not in agreement as I have a firm policy that I do not get dressed up unless someone is dead or getting married

We are in agreement. Everyone should wear whatever makes them comfortable.

And let's not forget these fellas who think they're dressing dapper but actually look like sexual predators.

Yup....I tend to go with the 'don't wear anything you wouldn't sleep in' philosophy

We used to have to wear slacks or khakis, then we had a summer that we were allowed to wear jeans on Fridays.

Eventually there was a survey, it had things like: Wear Jeans, Taffy Apples on Halloween(that happens on Halloween every year), Summer hours, and a few other things.

More people wanted to wear jeans every day than get summer hours. I am still disgusted.

I also wear jeans every day.

if people are comfortable, they'll be more willing to work or even work more hours

I work in an office with very little face to face contact with the unwashed masses and we have a dress code here...its stupid and its why I refused to work late or work OT when asked

I work in IT. If you put on a pair of Dockers, everyone thinks you have a job interview.

I think dress code should be up to the individual.

That said, I firmly believe in dressing for the job you want, not the one you currently have.
