I tend to roll my eyes or look at my phone if someone is being overly redundant or obviously talking to hear his own voice in the room.

I really feel like a lot of the artists who've drawn him over the years make me think of Brad Pitt. Grifter always came off as an older dude (even in the Nu52) sorta like Wolverine, and Brad Pitt has that right amount of stubble and sideburns to do his voice right. He's also used the gravelly voice I'd expect for Grifter.
