I hate that kind of garbage. I don't want to watch a whole science fiction film and at the end be told it was the power of love, or the power of faith, or "God Did It." Science, please. Anyway, it's really put me off going to see Interstellar.

Nolan is pretty overrated in my book. Out of all his films, the only one that really left me impressed was Inception.

I'm pretty much in agreement. The Dark Knight trilogy's a mess all over, and having nothing to do with "fanboy"-ism, but rather, they're just poorly made movies.

The Dark Knight is probably the only good movie out of that trilogy. Even then, it's just an average crime thriller with Batman elements superimposed in it.

Eh, it telegraphed who Ras al Ghul really was early on, and the ending's horseshit.

EDIT: Whoops, I mistakenly thought Batman Begins. Dark Knight's horseshit of a different color, despite a great performance by Ledger.

Yeah, I agree. He's not so great. God forbid you say that in certain places, though. They'll tear you apart. The Bad Astronomy guy did a negative review of Interstellar and it was like a packs of wolves descended on him for having the audacity to point out that, no, love is not a physical force and other problems with the science, and of course problems with the drama.

The "Nolan is God" meme has always puzzled me. It's like he's being judged by people who don't know anything about movie making. He's not HORRIBLE, but he's far from great. He's better than Zack Snyder, but that's not really that high a bar to jump.
