Super every day of the week and twice on Sundays.
No contest, Super. GT always felt like it was trying to capture both the spirit of Dragonball and Dragonball Z causing it to have no real vision of itself. Super on the other hand doesn't try to be either and instead steps things up further even presenting us with a multivese of sorts that they're even using as the focus of some arcs.
Super. It's considered canon. Plus it's not as serious as DBZ which reminds me of the original Dragon Ball atmosphere and I really appreciate it.
I like that DBS takes place in between the Time Skip after Majin Buu saga and before the end of the manga. It means the gang is exactly the same as before. Also, as a fan of Vegeta, I like that they explore his character more, especially his relationship with his family. The only down side is Gohan, although I also support him to choose normal life because I remember he's never much liked to be a fighter like Goku.
However, in the upcoming battle of the universes saga it seems like he's going to fight again. And with No. 17, Tenshinhan, and surprisingly Master Roshi too (according to the new opening)! I'm very excited!
Shouldn't this be in the TV/Film section?
But yea, I'd go with Super. GT was just flat out bad IMHO
There's a Time For Peace, and Then There's a Time To Punch Nazi Scumbags in the Face!!
Super, easily.
Good action, good sequel to Z, and great character episodes for characters who aren't Saiyans.
Super as it's a true continuation of the series.
Dragon Ball Super.. Despite his BAD animation.
Frieza returns, Future Trunks return.. I have characters like Beerus, Hit, Champa and another characters around here, funny moments of these characters.. Vegeta is a warrior(unlike GT)..
The 3 SSJ4(goku, vegeta, Gogeta) were the only good of the GT..
Super. GT is pretty much awful outside of two things: one, the music, which might actually be the best. Second, the design for Super Saiyan 4. Other than that, pretty lame. In regard to SSJ4 though, I think its so good I've always hoped it would be adapted into the canon. It would fit perfectly after the new colored transformations. One of the things GT did right is cover the elephant in the room and acknowledge Saiyan's need their tail for full potential.
Oh, Super's also better because of this:

Moving this thread to the TV/film board, carry on!
(I liked GT)
The animation is fairly questionable for the first two sagas. Once the Multiversal tournament hits, then the quality of animation becomes much more consistent.
But yeah, even if it wasn't canon, I'd still pick Super anyway since it seems to do damn near everything right. It's a commentary on Dragon Ball itself, it uses the supporting cast much better, it's way more inclusive of other characters as well (Krillin matters again! YAY!), the show takes its time to have slice of life episodes, it expands greatly on the mythology in ways that GT wishes, themes are consistent, the music is an improvement, the humor is better, etc. etc.
Plus, it gave us one of the greatest episodes of all time, the U6 vs. U7 baseball episode.
super for all the stated reasons.
GT felt like it was trying to hard to be db and dbz and it failed because of it. super feels like both but a continuation.
While GT is horrible no doubt, I have no love for Super either.
I liked how Super went back to an original Dragon Ball approach in the first sagas. More comedy over drama. It was especially fun seeing a character like Vegeta fit into that original mold, as he only showed up well after DB had taken a more serious turn with Z. Or more specifically, the Piccolo Daimao saga.

Speaking of Super, I've got to say the new OP is great.
I like Dan Dan no Kokoro and all, but this gets me more hyped.
