Why doesn't the Scarlet Witch just join the X-men ?

I mean outside the fact that she's isn't a mutant anymore....she still has some guilt over her actions over mutants. Plus she never truly understood the X-men's actions. So why not have her join the team in terms of searching for redemption for her past actions ?

It happen before with worse members, right ?

As fans of the character what do you think of this and would it have saved her on-going series a bit ?

They said the same thing about Quicksilver and looked what happen to him.

I think they decided to sacrifice Pietro coz Fox managed an appealing take on him first in DoFP.

Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if Thanos tries to tempt Wanda to join his side by promising a Pietro resurrected by the Soul Stone (allowing for a QS cameo in Infinity Wars).

She was never an X-Men to begin with and now not even a mutant or Magneto's daugther. That's like the least close she ever was to joining the X-Men.

At this point wonder if that's a good idea .

Marvel never did anything to redeem Wanda regarding mutants and X-mens fans. Your origin has been completely changed and now it seems that Marvel would prefers the character walk in different paths.Which does not mean that it's bad the character needed to take a break and breathe as a result she no longer feels the weight of her past in the same way and has connected with her mystical side.

Maybe it's better she's on a UA team than a mutant team.

And being honest do not think Wanda wants to get too involved with mutants or her past and not all X-men have forgotten or forgiven what she did.

Her being sorry and helping in AVX didn't erase all of the mutants that does indirectly or directly from her actions, after all. Not to mention many mutants are still depowered from M day.

And as others said currently she is far removed from all things mutant as much as possible.

Again a similar thing could be said about Mystique, Sabertooth and Magneto. While the things they did pale into what Wanda did...the X-men still cautiously trusted them as teammates. So shouldn't Wanda be given a similar fair shake a bit ?

Mystique and Sabertooth were on Magneto's team which was practically a new brotherhood of sorts, definitely not a traditional X-Men team. I can't see Wanda agreeing to be a part of something like that considering all of her terrible experiences as part of the Brotherhood. So that's not really the best example.
